I think that dancing and poetry are alike because they both take a lot of brainstorming, learning, and creativity. They both are very fun and unique. They are both alike because dancing has a rhythm and some kinds of poetry have rhythm. In dancing there are different kinds of dancing and in poetry there are different kinds of poetry. They are different because writing poetry you are usually not moving, but you are when you are dancing. My favorite thing I have learned so far is disco moves: the cross crawl, the aketo, and the poker cards!!!
Aidan I liked how you used a lot of supporting details.
Great job Aidan!
Aidan-I really enjoyed your comments because I am also a fan of the aketo, cross crawl and poker cards. I agree (since I am a dancer
myself ) that dancing and poetry do take hard work and brainstorming. Great blog:-) :-) Silas
I think dance poetry a like because both take practice , skill, and creativity. Dance and poetry are not the same because in dance you are moving and in poetry you are writing. My favorite thing we leaned was the jazz square and the poker card.
Alike: Dancing and poetry both have rhythm. They also use a lot of skill and practice, Oh! and creativity! poetry and dancing can both be describing a person, place, or thing.
Non-alike: Dance uses movement but poetry can use rhyme. Poetry uses words, but dancing uses action.
I loved talking about extrinsic moves. I also loved dancing to Modern, Jazz, Disco, and Ballet music.
I think creativity definitly has something to do with dance and poetry. Good point.
Poets and dancers have passion for what they do.
poets and dancers flow back and forth fast and slow like ballet.
Poets and dancers can inspire people to do good things by being positive.
Poetry can be locomotive but not likely, dance requires movement
Poetry has speech but dancers speak with their movement.
Learning about positive and negative space has been my favorite thing to learn
I like how you put into kinda a poetry form. Nice Logan!!!
Poetry and dancing are alike because dancing has rhythm and repetition, so does poetry too. Some types of poetry has a repetition to it. In Dancing you don't just flail your arms and go crazy, you have to give it like a rhythm and repeat some of the same moves. The difference between poetry and dance is that when you use poetry you don't have to use body movement, just your voice, and when you dance most times you don't use your voice, unless you are singing to a song and going along with the music. And my favorite part about the dancing lessons Ms. Kim has taught us is Dancing Disco and Jazz, My favorite move for jazz is jazz hands and my favorite move for disco is throwing the cards.
I like your response Curt good thinking they do take lots of control, rhythm, and repetition. Nice I love your response!!!!!
I like your comment and I agree that in dancing you really have to work hard to give your dance repetition. Like you said you can't just flail your arms around. I think alot of hard work went into your comment.
Curt I liked how you used examples
I like your response because it has a lot of awesome details. I also like your response because it talks about the different dance disciplines like jazz, hip-hop, modern, disco, and ballet.
Dancing is alike with poetry because they both take a lot of practice to do both of them. Like if you want to write a good poem then you have to have a good experience with writing a god poem and for dancing you have to work on good posture. I think they are non-alike because dancing has a lot of movement and poetry just takes a lot of focus and consintration. My favrite thing was the name game!: )
I liked your response be cause it used a lot of supporting details. Also because dancing and poetry take a lot of focus.
I think that dancing and poetry are alike because they both involve repeition. I think this because in dance you can repeat a move, and in poetry you can have repeating words. I think that they are not alike because you are reading words off of a paper. Also because dancing moving your body around. And thats how I think poetry and dancing are alike and different.

I like your response.
I think that poetry and dancing are alike because they take a lot of effort and they have rhythm. I think this because when we are with Ms. Kim we always look through the windshield of life, which makes us feel relaxed, and we use R.A.W. I think that dance and poetry are not alike because they rhyme. I think this because when you dance you don't use rhyme, and some poems can rhyme. The most favorite thing that I learned is doing the Name Game.
I think poetry and dancing are alike because you can make a clean image of what you are describing. poetry and dancing are different because in poetry you describe a person, place, or thing in words in dancing you describe a person, place, or thing by making your movements into different shapes a dance can make a shape that looks like a real thing like if a ballet dancer did a jump and it might of looked like a bird flying in the air and then the bird landing. my favorite thing the class has done with mis.kim is the name game.
Autumn I like how you said that a shape of a ballerina looks like a bird flying in the air and a bird landing!
I think dancing and poetry are alike because dancing and poetry are basically about your feelings and mood and what you think. i think dancing and poetry are different because dancing you actually move around, but in poetry you usually write and don't move that much, but some poems have movement added. my favorite thing we did this year with Miss Kim so far is the name game where we say our name and do a movement to go along.
I think dancing and poetry are alike because in dance your using movements and repitition. And in poetry you are using fluid verses like a repetitive pattern. Another thing which makes them alike is that they both have emotions. I think dancing and poetry are not alike because in poetry you are not making movements with your body but with your words. The most fun thing in class was dancing to different disciplines, because some ways of dance I didn't know about. And it was cool to learn about them. That is what I think about dancing and poetry and that was what I chose for my favorite dance activity we have done. Thank you,
I love your response.
I think dancing is like poetry because dancing can describe something as can poetry. Another reason that they are alike is that a dancer can act out a poem that someone else is reading. They are different because with poetry you are speaking words and with dance you are speaking with your body.
My favorite part of learning with ms.Kim was learning about modern dance.
I love your response.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
