I am going to estimate how many square feet my house is. My bottom floor is about 40 feet long and 30 feet wide. 40 x 30 =1200
My second floor is a little bit bigger than the first floor. Its about 600 feet bigger than my first floor. That means that my second floor is about 1800 feet. 1200 +1800 = 3000 feet long. answer, 3300 feet

I love it!! Leave it to you, Gage, to do the BIG math!! I really appreciate how you used square footage as an extension of multiplying with an array. Thanks for the post!

The baby gate at the top of our stairs is arranged in an array. There are 13 columns and 1 row. The multiplication problem for this is 13x1=13.

Also, the shelves in my closet are arranged in an array. There are 6 compartments overall and there are 3 columns. How many rows are there? 6 divided by 3 = 2 rows. This is the division problem to solve this.

You got it, Aidan! The total number is 6. 6 broken into 3 rows = 2. Thank you for the two entries!

I estimated the distance from the garage door to the end of the garage. I estimated 45 feet (9 x 5 = 45). I measured the distance using my feet. It was 55 (11 x 5 = 55).

Wow - that's a tough array! Good job!
