They were trying to bring ballet to a community were it wasn't available. And the cover story mainly describes how she was rising to the top and inspiring kids to do the same. So it supports It by saying she rised to the top and she wants to inspire kids to do the same.
Nice response Scarlett! I like the powerful words you used!
Thank you, Scarlett.
I think the sidebar " Dancers Dreams" supports the cover story because it seems like in " Star Ballerina" Misty Copeland likes to do ballet and be a star. In "Dancers Dreams" she wrote a story about ballet and herself to show how much she likes ballet and being a star. Also in the cover story she says " A part of human nature is passing down the things that you have learned." I think she meant she wants pass down the art of ballet. In "Dancers Dreams"It says she writes the book Firebird. I think she wrote it because she wanted to share the art of ballet to the world. That is what I think about how "Dancers Dreams supports the cover story.
Wow, Tiana. What a very detailed and informational response. You really read this article carefully.
Wow Tiana! What a story! There are lots of detail in that response! I can tell you really worked hard on that
The story of Star Ballerina is about a girl named Misty Copeland who wants to have dreams come true for boys and girls around the globe to become great at ballet. She had to go through a lot of schools. First she started out in a basketball court then she went to a group with 80 people in it and she was the only African American girl or boy in the group. Misty Copeland created a program for boys and girls around the globe to help them reach their goal in ballet and the arts by offering top ballet training in communities where it has not been available.
Great work! You clearly stated the main idea and gathered some good details to support your answer. Well done!
Mr. Moriarty do you know whom cut is
I think Dancers dreams is about Misty Copland and she created Project Plie to help of dancers get a good learning program. Misty wrote a book called Firebird to tell about her as a fearless dancer. I could tell that Misty loves children and wants them to get the best education possible. Misty started taking Ballet lessons when she was 13. She took the lesson's on a basketball court and then took a liking to ballet.
It supports the main idea because Misty Copeland helped others love dancing as much as she did. Misty started the program as the first african american to be dancing as a principal dancer in that company. She had very little money when she started as a 13 year old so she got free classes to dance because her parents couldn't afford it. And since then. she has been famous to every one in the world.
The main idea in Star Ballerina for me is that Misty Copeland didn't have that much money when she was growing up so she could not do things like ballet. Her first ballet class was on a court at a boys and girls club. She said this was the first time she got an opportunity like this. Now she is thirty three and spending a lot of time mentoring young dancers. In the side bar it says that Misty Copeland wants to give kids of all backgrounds the opportunity to take ballet just like she had when was a teenager.
It supports it because the main idea of Star Ballerina is that Misty reaches out to younger people who may not have a chance to study ballet other wise. And that connects to the sidebar Dancer's Dreams because the main idea of the sidebar Dancer's Dreams is that Misty wrote a book called firebird so she could reach out to younger people who may not have a chance to study ballet other wise. And that is how Dancer's Dreams supports Star Ballerina.
Misty copeland feels that it is important for children to experience being part of the arts. She wants to make sure knowledge is available of all backgrounds. She helped start project plie. Ballet training in communities where that training has not been available.
It supports it because the main idea of star ballerina is that Misty reaches out to younger people who may not have a chance to study ballet other wise. Misty Copeland in "dancer's dreams" says "I feel its important for children to experience being part of the arts."
Misty feels that it is important that children experience the arts. In dancers dream she says, that she feels it's important for children to experience being part of the arts. Also, the section said she wants to make sure that knowledge is available to kids in all backgrounds. And with ABT, she helped start Project Pile. And the program offers training in communitys where that training is not available
The main idea is that Misty Copeland is inspiring others to follow her footsteps. The side bar talks about how she inspires kids to do what she does and she wanted kids to be inspired that she wrote the book Firebird and she did so well that President Obama invited her to a trip to Rwanda in Africa and helped President Obama make a group for girls to help with their education.
i think that it supports ballerianas everywhere. it said that it took hard work to make. the Auther wanted girls to grow up to be ballerianas.
The main Idea of star ballerina is how Misty Copeland was the first African American principal dancer at the American ballet theater.I think that is important because Misty Copeland is the First African American principal dancer and that probably made other African American dancers comfortable to Join ballet.Dancers dreams supports this main Idea because Its about Misty Copeland writing a book about herself called Fire bird. She also started project Plie. She is intrested in giving kids access to the arts. This is shown by the fact that Barack Obama chose Misty Copeland to be involed in his turn around arts program.
Misty Copeland is the first African American woman to become a principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre. She is inspiring others to follow in her steps. She feels it is important for children to experience being part of the arts.
im a evil person in your mind
im a boy
cut is not in my mind and cuts creepy
Good job sophia cassie and everyone
I think the sidebar "Dancer's Dreams" goes along great with the cover story because it has the same topic ballet. I think it was a good idea to put Misty Copeland's book in the sidebar because it is connecting art to dance. The sidebar talks about how Misty Copeland is giving the young dancers an opportunity to learn to dance.
misty copeland didn''t have a lot of money as a child and she had to take free ballet lessons on a bascatball court. so now she started project plie to make it possible for everyone to take ballet on a reguler ballet court.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
